Set Up a Deposit Account
Last updated: June 2026
When you sell items on Flip It Exchange using nationwide shipping, you get paid through the platform. To receive your earnings, you must set up a deposit account by connecting a bank account or debit card through Stripe Connect.
Important
You have 90 days to set up your deposit account from the date of your first sale. All payments will be paused until you complete this setup.
Before You Begin
To complete your deposit account setup, you'll need:
- A valid phone number and email address on file (for verification codes)
- Either a debit card or bank account information
- Your Social Security Number or Individual Tax Identification Number (for identity verification)
- Your current legal address
To update your contact details, go to your Profile Settings.
Add a Deposit Account
You can add a deposit account through your seller dashboard:
Option 1: Add a Debit Card (Recommended)
- Go to Payment Settings
- Under Payout Account, click Connect Account
- Enter your debit card information and billing zip code
- Click Save
- Check your phone for a verification code via text message
- Click Resend if you don't receive the text
- Click I don't have this phone with me to receive the code via email instead
- Enter the verification code and click Verify
Tip: Adding a debit card gives you faster payouts at no additional cost. Funds are typically available in your account within 1-2 business days.
Option 2: Add a Bank Account
- Go to Payment Settings
- Under Payout Account, click Connect Account
- Click Add Bank Account Instead
- Enter your Routing Number and Account Number
- Click Save
- Complete the verification process as described above
Note: Bank account transfers may take 3-5 business days to process. For faster payouts, we recommend adding a debit card.
Edit Your Deposit Account
To update your deposit account information:
- Go to Payment Settings
- Under Payout Account, click Edit then Change
- Enter your new debit card or bank account information
- Click Save
- Complete the verification process with the new account
Delete Your Deposit Account
For your protection, you cannot delete your deposit account on your own. This ensures that Flip It Exchange always has a way to deliver funds to you for completed sales.
If you need to delete a deposit account (for example, if a card was compromised), please contact our support team. Before we delete your account, we'll check for any outstanding payments that are due to you and arrange an alternative payout method.
Common Issues
Verification code not arriving
Try resending the code or requesting it via email instead. Make sure your phone number is correct in your profile settings.
Bank account rejected
Double-check your routing and account numbers. Some credit unions and international banks may not be supported. Try using a different bank or add a debit card instead.
Payout delayed
Payouts may be delayed if there's a dispute, the buyer hasn't confirmed receipt, or your identity verification is incomplete. Check your Seller Dashboard for status updates.
Protecting Your Privacy
We're serious about protecting your privacy. Flip It Exchange does not collect or store any of the personal financial information that you provide. All deposit account information is securely collected, stored, and verified by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. To learn how Stripe protects your data, see the Stripe Privacy Policy.
